RAPID EYE MOVEMENTS
Villa Les Camélias presents RAPID EYE MOVEMENTS, the first exhibition by Monegasque artist Antoine Lemoniz, dedicated to the world of dreams.
Inspired by the different stages of sleep and the images that inhabit them, Antoine Lemoniz has created an exhibition in which painting and sculpture engage in a dialogue, exploring the boundaries between dream and reality, shadow and light, wonder and unease.
The artist invites visitors to journey through a series of spaces, like fragments of a single dream. Each artwork opens a gateway to an imaginary world.
Antoine Lemoniz draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, from the colorful universes of Michel Ocelot and Hayao Miyazaki to the distinctive atmospheres of Tim Burton and Laika Studios. Over time, he has developed a highly personal style, recognizable through his dark silhouettes moving across vividly colored landscapes.
